Hello to all readers and visitors, welcome to the online site for COSBlib. This site is dedicated to updating you all to the status of the books (perhaps you can't find the book you were searching for?), to notify about new additions, as well as to recommend good reads as they come along (coming soon!).

The main thing that will be on this site will be the updated book list, with the status of the books shown. Red is for missing (please return if it is with you, thank you very much!). Blue is for On Loan (email me or leave a comment if you wish to reserve it), and Green is for reserved (usually its also on loan).

Guide

This is a guide to using COSBlib.

COSBlib roughly parallels a library in concept. There is a collection of books, people borrow it, and return it when they finish reading it. Anyone can borrow from it - first time borrowers should do a one time registration (for contacting purposes). Whenever a book is borrowed, please log down that loan in the Loan Record Book for tracing purposes. Fill in your own projected date of return - our recommendation is a period of 2-3 weeks from your date of loan. When you had returned the book, just write on the date of return column.

In simple terms.. Register, Record, Read, Return, Record.

Also, please take care of the books, and be considerate by not leaving it on your shelf for weeks and weeks =p

Workings

This is the categorization method of COSBlib. It is a rough guide; not every book fits fully in its category. Also, since I had yet to read every book, some are classified according to its feel, title and synopsis. If anyone feels that it is in the wrong place, please feel free to leave a comment. Also, these are broad arbitrary categories, so it will probably not be the same in public libraries or in bookstores. I tried to use DCC (the system public libraries use), but found it to be even more difficult to fit the topics into. It was more suited for a research type library. As such, this classification was proposed :)

001 - 099 -- Bible Study, Concordance, Commentaries, Topical Studies

101 – 199 -- Living as a Christian (Christian viewpoints, responses), Inspirational

201 – 299 -- Apologetics (Defense of the Faith)

301 – 399 -- Biographies, Auto Biographies, Spiritual Journeys, Testimonies

401 – 499 -- Mission, Evangelism

501 – 599 -- Analogical Stories, Fiction

601 – 699 -- Holy Spirit, Pentecostal, Charismatic, Gifts of the Spirit

701 – 799 -- Church Management

801 – 899 -- Relational, Personal Development
